We will cover roughly chapters 1-3 and 8 of Complex Analysis by Stein and Shakarchi this term. This is the recommended text but you may use any textbook, including Gamelin's text which is in the bookstore. Note that chapter 2 of Stein and Shakarchi is available online here.
There will be weekly problem sets, and it is very important to do all of the problems to learn the material. The course grade is determined by homework (10%) and a final exam (90%). The final exam is Tuesday, June 14, 8-11am.
Information about the final examination is here.
You can find a list of corrections Gamelin's text here. I don't know of posted errata for Stein and Shakarchi.
Information on using latex to typeset your homework (or use in general) can be found here.
Homework is posted below. It is due in class on the date posted. You may also leave it under my (the TA's) office door by 3pm on the day it is due. No late homework will be accepted. I'll grade the homework and return it in section the following Thursday.
I plan to grade 3 problems per week. Each problem will be worth 10 points. You should self-grade all of the problems, including those which I graded, against the solutions posted. Please let me know if there are any errors in my solutions.
Homework solutions will be posted here when they are available.
